Place Ugljan, Mostir beach

Already traditionally, on the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, the Volleyball tournament in the shallows is held on Mostir beach, being one of the most recognizable and cheerful summer sports events in Ugljan.

​The tournament has been held since 1997, and it was started by Saša Martinov and Antonio Belić. Almost three decades later, Antonio Belić is still actively involved in its organization, preserving the tradition that gathers numerous competitors and visitors every year.

​Thanks to the unique playing court in the shallows, the relaxed atmosphere and a great sports spirit, the tournament has become an indispensable part of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary celebration. The competition attracts teams of different generations, while numerous spectators cheer on the players from the beach and enjoy the dynamic matches and a true summer vibe.

​The tournament is not only a sports competition but also an opportunity for socializing, making new friendships and preserving a tradition that over the years has become an integral part of the Feast of the Assumption festivity in Ugljan.
