Island Ugljan Olive Days
The event "Island Ugljan Olive Days" is organized in honor of olives and olive oil.
At the beginning of each year, oils are collected for a competition and kept under controlled conditions until they are analyzed. Olive growers from all parts of Croatia and beyond can participate in the competitive part of the manifestation.
Visitors to the event, which is held in June in the town of Ugljan, can enjoy traditional songs, dances, and local dishes. They can also attend expert lectures on the topic of olive growing and taste the olive oils entered into the competition. As part of the event, awards are presented to the best oils, a fair of island products is held, and workshops are organized for both children and adults.
