Poljana
Poljana, with 294 inhabitants, is a picturesque little settlement in a bay, on one side bounded by the picturesque peninsula St. Peter with a 13th century Romanesque church of the same name and a series of houses on the other side, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. The new church from 1999 is dedicated to the Queen of Peace. Poljana is connected to Preko and located southeast of Sutomišćica. Farming, vegetable growing and olive growing are the economic basis. In Poljana there is an old school, two restaurants, one shop, a children's playground and a sports field. The numerous wells and water sources and the large number of sunshine hours are the reason why many vegetable and fruit species are successfully grown here, both in summer and winter.
